CIRCULAR QUAY ABORIGINAL ARCHAEOLOGY COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT DAY

Join us on the 9th of March for the Circular Quay Aboriginal Archaeology Community Engagement Day.
Partnering with Metropolitan Local Aboriginal Land Council, Comber Consultants and the City of Sydney, the Circular Quay Tower project team are looking forward to learning more about the land we are working on.

To better understand Australia's oldest living culture, we will open up the Circular Quay Tower site to get a closer look at Gadi country. Spend time with us, as Aboriginal Archaeologists help paint a clearer picture of Gadi and European interactions here at Circular Quay.

Being held on Saturday 9 March, you will get a chance to learn about the importance of the Tank Stream and hear about knowledge gained from the site, which may just be changing the history books.

The City of Sydney will also have an information booth about the Eora Journey including a new major artwork by Judy Watson, bara to be installed in the Tarpeian Precinct Lawn above Dubbagullee (Bennelong Point).

Spaces are limited to ensure the experience is as meaningful as possible for all involved. Bookings can be made for one of the hourly time slots here. Reserved seating is available for members of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, so please contact Cara if preferred time  slots aren't available. Support is also available for access to or within the site.

Please bring water and sensible clothes for the weather. The site zones area is not covered.

For more information, call Cara Wood, Community Engagement Manager on 1300 092 646 or email cara.wood@lendlease.com.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which Sydney Place is located, the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, and pay our respects to them and their elders - past, present and emerging.
